This Workplace Success covers Key Skills You’ll Need will enable you to identify the key skills that are critical for a positive impact on your career. Being able to identify these skills is going to allow you to see which ones you possess, which ones you should develop, and how they help in the workplace.

Learning Objectives

Upon completing this course, you are going to know approaches to be an effective team member, how it feels to experience change and ways to be flexible in times of change and to approach problem solving. You will also identify tips to giving and receiving feedback, learn ways to recognize self-confident behaviours in the workplace and learn a three-step process to building self-confidence.

Course Outline

After you complete this course, you will be able to:

  • Know your own team member roles and responsibilities.
  • Understand ways to be an effective team member.
  • Know how it feels to experience change and knows your level of change tolerance.
  • Understand ways to be flexible in times of change.
  • Know what a problem is and ways to approach problem-solving.
  • Recognize the self-fulfilling prophecy and its relevance to their work.
  • Appreciate the variety of behaviours that characterize resourcefulness in the workplace.
  • Identify tips for giving and receiving feedback.
  • Realize the uses of feedback to increase their strengths as leaders in the workplace.
  • Recognize self-confident behaviours in the workplace.
  • Utilize a three-step process to building your own self-confidence.
  • Apply a number of group methods for creative thinking.
  • Recount the history of social and emotional intelligence theory.
  • Define Daniel Goleman’s five sets of social and emotional competencies and correlate them to workplace experiences.

Participants are eligible to print the certificate of completion upon completion of this course. You may also be eligible to claim CPD credit points towards your industry requirement upon approval by the relevant professional body. Please contact them for approval.
