  • In just 12 months you could be helping people to make dramatic improvements in their lives by incorporating Ayurvedic principles, including everything from lifestyle, diet to various Ayurveda therapies, blending the laws of nature with scientific processes to remedy a range of conditions.
  • As a Lifestyle consultant you will be providing lifestyle assessments, bodywork and remedial therapies, as well as Ayurvedic nutrition and advice.
  • There is significant and growing demand for Ayurvedic lifestyle consultants to share this 5000 year old ancient traditional Vedic system of medicine.

Do I need a medical background or a degree? … NO!

  • You don’t need a background in medicine, or to have been to Uni, but you do need to have a passion for helping people holistically.
  • You might start with no experience – we will teach you everything you need to know to confidently provide lifestyle advice.
  • Or you may already be involved in some form of wellbeing or allied health practice such as yoga, naturopathy, massage, nursing, occupational therapy, physiotherapy etc. and want to expand your skills and widen your experience to help more people (perhaps with fewer physical demands on your own body).

Where will this take me?

  • You could be opening your own clinic once you graduate – and you’ll learn all about business planning and marketing within the course units too so you’ll be well prepared to start practicing immediately.
  • Or you might choose to work in multidisciplinary clinics along with other healthcare professionals.
  • Alternatively, some Ayurvedic lifestyle consultants work in health retreats, hotels and spas, and others become academics in the field.
  • PLUS If you want to continue your study you can get credit for 100% of this Diploma, which means you’ll be almost half way through the Advanced Diploma of Ayurveda. With the Advanced Diploma you can become an Ayurveda Practitioner!
  • So, there are many opportunities you can opt for, and there is significant demand and need for Ayurvedic lifestyle consultants and therapists.

Entry Requirements:

  • The only requirement is that you must have a Year 12 certificate or equivalent or satisfactory completion of a Certificate IV (Australian qualification framework) in any field. Mature age students with life experience may also apply for the course provided you meet literacy, language, and numeracy skill requirements.

When is the next intake?

  • The annual full time intakes are in January each year. You can also study part time by enrolling in a unit or two for three good reasons:
  • 1.You can start immediately and get a head start.
  • 2.You can ‘dip your toes in the water’ to decide if the full course is right for you
  • 3.You only pay for the units you complete – and anything you complete gets credited against your qualification
